The girls wrapped up a successful season with the trip to the semis, losing only two league games all year and representing Perspectives well with good sportsmanship and positive attitudes. We are proud of our Lady Wolves and expect big things from them again next year!

Led by Mr. Michaelis, Mr. King and Ms. Kinser, the Perspectives/IIT Math and Science Academy Iron Men and Women robotics team is competing in the first of their two regional tournaments. The students have gone to Milwaukee to compete in the FIRST Robotics Challenge Wisconsin Regional after having had six weeks to construct a robot from a kit of parts. We are proud of this demonstration of science in action and wish them the best of luck in the competitions.
Feast of Thanks
Ms. David and David Langston partaking in the Feast of Thanks
A tradition at all Perspectives campuses, the Feast of Thanks brings together the entire school community and allows htem to show gratitude and share a meal together. This year's Feast of Thanks was a great send-of to the Thanksgiving break and a wonderful opportunity to reflect on how far we have come this year!

On October 29th, we were honored to have Mr. Timuel Black as our Principal for a Day. Mr. Black is a long-time Chicago native, a teacher at the collegiate level and a political activist for the southside of Chicago. Mr. Black spoke with our 10th grade students about his life and the change in Chicago and America he has seen throughout the last decade. Our students learned a great deal from his rich knowledge of the neighborhood and we were delighted to have him here with us.
Spirit Week/Homecoming
The week of October 12th-16th was Spirit Week at Perspectives/IIT Math and Science Academy. The students participated in various spirit days and had a pep rally complete with class games. The high school flag football team defeated CICS Ralph Ellison in the homecoming game and then a dance was held at IIT. We were very proud of the school spirit showed by all!
